I absolutely agree Ann. I'll try and remember to add this note to my ward meeting reminder for this Wednesday night's meeting. This is especially important because the pantry is located right in our Ward at 600 E Algonquin Rd. Thanks for the suggestion.

I feel that this is a wonderful idea. I think that we should do it for our next meeting. If all the wards collected we could collect an awful lot of food, etc for our Pantry and Self Help Closet.
(Because the Self-Help Closet and Food Pantry of Des Plaines is seeing an increased demand for services, residents attending the meetings are invited to bring a non-perishable food item or a new or gently used children's book (s) for the Pantry.)
