As much as I appreciate your striving to do your best, I have to tell you Matt your youth is showing real bad. As I watch the Library Board Meeting again I cannot believe how condescending your attitude towards the board was. Please remember there are people that have been around a long time, longer than you have been alive and they have a lot of information to share and history to give. You need to learn from those that have a long history and remember you are by far not the only person “in-the-know”.
All the anger and frustration that you are seeing and that you seem not to grasp is coming from the “lack of communication” and specifically coming from the City. If this City is to change it needs to start with open, “Honest” and caring communication and not communication at the eleventh hour. The City Manager does NOT make the rules and laws; you, MY CITY elected official makes the decisions as to what is acceptable and what is not.
As I watch the Board meeting I certainly hope my City budget is reduced by the 50,000.00 the Library Board is going to half to absorb. This is such a sad state of affairs and this is only getting worse. Again, I say there seems to be a consistent theme in regards the City just doing what it pleases and no one seems to know what the other hand is doing. It is time to wake up and smell the coffee.
