Aldermen Walsten & Bogusz pay their respects at 9-11 memorial service on 9/11/11.
Ten years ago, terrorists tried shaking America's foundation of freedom with an act of cowardice that took the lives of thousands. This morning, hundred of Des Plaines residents stood in solidarity with millions across the nation to honor the memory of those we lost while showing that the terrorists only made us stronger. The front of City Hall was quite the sight...I was proud to be there. For those who couldn't make it out this morning, I'll post a album once I have pictures in hand.
